meatball or basso is a type of meat ball that is cpommonly found in indonesian cuisine, meatballs are generally made from a mixture of ground beef and tapioca flour, but there are also meatballs made from chicken , fish, or shrimp and even buffalo meat. in the pressentation, meatballs are generally served hot with a clear gravy broth, mixed with noodles, vermicelli, sprouts, tofu, sometimes eggs and sprinkled with friedonion and celery. meatballs are very popular and can be found all over indonesia, from street hawkers to big restaurants, various types of meatballs are now widely offered in the form of frozen food sold in supermarkets or malls, slices of meatballs can also be used as a complement to other types of food such as fried noodles, fried rice, or cap cai.

meatball has the roots of chinese culinary art of indonesia, this is shown from the term "bakso" derived from the word bak-so. in hokkien language wich literally means " ground meat". since most indonesians are muslims,meatballs are more commonly made from halal meat such as beef , fish, or chicken. now, most sellers of meatballs are javanese from wonogiri and malang. the famous place as the center of meatballs is solo and malang called bakso malang. meatballs malang and solo meatballs are meatball dishes and served with typical java, meatballs come from china but different from malang and solo meatballs. chinese meatballs are usually made of pork or seafood and are  slightly brownish and the shape is not round. while malang and solo meatballs made of beef, colored gray and the shape is very round. chinese meatballs are usually not served with different sauce with abundant sauce.we can also make your own delicious meatballs at home , with the ingredients that we can easily around us, this time i will give the recipe how to make cow meatballs complete with spices and how to cook it, here's the description



material

  • 1 kg of ground beef (if it can be roughly ground)
  • 50 grams beef cut into small pieces
  • 150 grams of starch
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground pepper powder
  • 6 cloves of garlic

how to make
  • enter the meat, onions,pepper,salt,and starch into the food processor or blender
  • milled until smooth and well blended

  • heat water over low heat until almost boiling
  • grasp the dough, then press it until it appears between thumb and index finger (round shape)
  • then cut using a spoon and put the meatball into boiling water
  • cook until all the meatball float (the sign of mature meatballs is floating on the survace)
  • lift up all the meatballs and drain

  • garlic 5 cloves, fried and puree
  • onion 4 cloves, fried and puree
  • fried onion 1/2 tablespoon, puree
  • 2 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • pepper 1/2 teaspoon
  • leaves onion 4 sticks, take the white part, finely sliced
  • instan cow broth 2 teaspoon

  • boil water until boiling
  • put all ingredients and spices together
  • wait until the boiling and seasoning is well blended
  • then reduce the heat and let the gravy remain on the stove (to stay hot)
